Emulsion

"A water-based paint using acrylic or vinyl binders. 'Emulsion' is the standard British term for what Americans call 'latex paint'. Exterior versions are called masonry paint."

In detail

Interior emulsions come in matt, silk, and eggshell. Vinyl emulsions are cheaper but less durable than pure acrylic. Do not use interior emulsion externally — it lacks UV resistance and biocides.
