About FacadeColorizer
The FacadeColorizer team builds an AI paint visualizer for exterior facades and interior walls, made for homeowners and contractors.
Our mission
Help contractors close more projects by showing the final result before the work starts, and help homeowners validate their color choice before committing thousands of dollars to a renovation they will live with for ten to fifteen years.
Our AI automatically detects walls and facades on a photo, then applies the chosen color with realistic rendering that preserves shadows, textures and perspective.
Our expertise, measured
We publish an annual facade color barometer built on 16,983 anonymized previews from 1,961 users collected between July 2025 and June 2026. This scope is narrower than the counter on our homepage, which totals every simulation since 2024: the study only keeps previews that produced a color render within that window. Because a few high-volume professionals drive much of the raw volume, we report color preference per user (one user, one vote). The dataset is openly available (CC-BY-4.0 license) on our 2026 barometer page.
This database powers our editorial coverage and product recommendations. We publish it under an open license (CC-BY-4.0), so contractors and the trade press are free to cite and reuse it when advising homeowners on color trends.

View full profileOur Story
FacadeColorizer was born in 2024 from a simple observation: contractors were losing projects and homeowners were hesitating before every renovation because nobody could show the final result before painting started. Hugo Dumoulin and our team first built the tool for exterior facades, then extended it to interior walls in 2026. Today, our AI generates photorealistic exterior AND interior color simulations in 30 seconds.
FacadeColorizer is now used by two audiences: contractors (painters, facade specialists, interior decorators) who want to close more quotes, and homeowners who want to validate their choice before spending £3,000 on an exterior or £500 on a single room. Available across four markets: FR, DE, US and UK.
Our Values
Precision
Our AI automatically detects facade areas and interior walls, and applies colors with a realistic rendering that preserves shadows and textures.
Speed
Results in seconds. Upload a photo, choose a color, and visualize the result immediately.
Color Chart Compatibility
FacadeColorizer is brand-agnostic: we support RAL, NCS, Tollens, Weber, Parex, Zolpan and many more color charts. No brand lock-in.
What our tool does not guarantee
The images produced are indicative visualisations, not colorimetric references. Screen, photo capture and ambient light all shift how a colour reads, and the AI can produce artefacts. Always validate a colour with a test patch on your own wall before ordering.
