How we write
This page explains how our guides are made: research, writing, human review, updates, and the limits of our AI simulation.
Who writes
Every article is the responsibility of Hugo Dumoulin, founder and developer of FacadeColorizer. There are no anonymous authors and no paid guest posts. Each guide is attributed to a single, named person.
As a solo founder, Hugo has analyzed thousands of facades, interior rooms and color palettes (RAL, NCS) across four markets since 2024. That hands-on experience, not an anonymous content team, feeds the guides.
Our editorial process
-
1
Research
We rely on manufacturer data sheets, official standards (RAL, NCS, ASTM), and, for regulatory topics, primary government sources. Prices are based on retail research with the month and year stated.
-
2
Drafting
We write for the specific market (currency, local brands, climate, regulations) rather than shipping one translated template. Each article answers a concrete question without artificial filler.
-
3
Fact-check
Figures, price ranges and technical claims are checked against the source before publishing. Brand names are used nominatively only, with no affiliation implied.
-
4
Use of AI
AI tools may assist with drafting and structuring, but every article is reviewed and signed off by a human before it goes live. No text is published unread.
Human review
Guides on sensitive topics (cost, legal, insurance, permits) carry a Reviewed by Hugo Dumoulin badge with the date of the last review. The badge only appears when the article was actually reviewed.
On regulatory topics we point to official external sources at the end of the article, so you can verify the information yourself.
Limits of the AI simulation
The images produced by our tool are indicative visualizations, not colorimetric references. Screens, photo capture and ambient light all shift how a color reads. The AI can also produce artifacts or geometric distortions.
Never order materials (paint, coating) on the basis of a render alone. Always confirm the shade with a physical swatch or a real test patch on site. Full details are in our Terms.
Updates and corrections
Guides on prices, regulations and products are reviewed and updated when needed. An updated article shows the date of the last change ("Updated on") visibly and reports that date to search engines (dateModified).
Spotted an error? Email contact@facadecolorizer.com. We check and correct justified reports as quickly as possible.
Independence
FacadeColorizer is an independent service and is not affiliated with any paint brand. Brands mentioned remain the property of their owners (nominative use). Recommendations are based on technical criteria, not paid placements.
